I spent most of my life feeling dead inside -- until I met Peter Pan and the Lost Boys.It wasn't until Pan and Neverland that I finally felt alive. But things are not all full of magic and sunlight on the island. There's something darker and more sinister haunting the forest. And worse, the fae queen and Captain Hook are ready to fight for control of Neverland and they will stop at nothing to get what they want.War is brewing -- can the Never King get his shadow back and assume his rightful throne? And if he does, where will I fit?Or will all of Neverland be in jeopardy right along with my dark, twisted heart?NOTE: The Dark One is book two in the Vicious Lost Boys series. It is a dark reimagining of Peter and Wendy. If you like your enemies to lovers romance with hot, ruthless, morally gray love interests, you'll enjoy The Dark One. You can expect an island with darkness and secrets and no true hero in sight, with a found family atmosphere, and 'touch her and I'll unalive you' vibes. The Dark One ends on a cliffhanger. Please check the author's website for CWs.

If you need some mindless smut in between your heavier reads, I highly recommend this series. Each book is about 200 pages with short chapters. The smut is top tier and the plot is actually pretty great, in fact if this was more plot-based I think I‘d love it even more. Check triggers, reverse harem MMMMF

I really like this continuation of a retelling of Peter Pan. I can't wait for the 3rd book to come out!

Ugh I‘m conflicted here. This is book 2 in the #peterpanretelling and it‘s as if the author forgot her rules from book 1. As in there are things that just don‘t track. On top of that there are way too many POV‘s trying to tell this story. It‘s spicy and ends in a cliffhanger and that will be out in September. Not sure I‘ll bother to be honest.

(Post 2 of 2)

So, naturally I immediately read the second one. 😏

Guess what? Also badly written, only now the ‘plot‘ is all over the place and in parts directly contradicts the first book, and the main character is even more ridiculous and insufferable. It does have a new (plentiful) crop of sex scenes, so there‘s that.

It took me 5 hours total to read both of these books, and I will probably read the last one when it comes out.😂

DGRachel 🤣🤣🤣 Why do we do this to ourselves? KU is the worst. I can‘t remember what series I got sucked into a few years back or even how many books I read, but I‘d finish one-didn‘t like it, but immediately rolled into the next one! 3y
BooksNBowls I‘m so stubborn when it comes to finishing things I‘ve started. I‘ll read a whole series, cursing the author, complaining the whole time, but still read every damn page. 😅 3y
kellyann28 Oh man I'm glad you posted this. The last indie book read that was insanely popular that I chose to read was The Zodiac Academy and it was astoundingly bad. It gave me such mental whiplash that I am hesitant on these Insta/TikTok reads and this series is making the rounds now. (Also if anyone liked ZA I am very glad you did like it, no shade) 3y
