Not what I was expecting from the description and marketing, but the production quality is great and it‘s addictive as hell.

This audiobook is AMAZING!! It‘s like listening to a movie. The score and effects are mind blowing and the storyline amazing. It kept me at the edge of my seat since the beginning. The production for this audiobook did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I recommend it 💯! One of my favorites from this year.

Anticlimactic end. Finally figured out Darcy‘s voice; it‘s played by Holiday Grainger who also stars in the Strike series.

A fairly typical dystopian/vampire story, it has a 'have I read this?' vibe. This version has great sound effects, putting you in the moment. Holliday Grainger, as Darcy, creates an arrogant character due to her perfect English accent, making her an unrelatable character. The other characters feel a little more relatable, Liam Cunningham, Himesh Patel, Indira Varma & Bella Ramsey give really good performances.
Excellent audiobook, worthy of the treadmill. In that, I mean it was exactly like a movie with music, sound effects, and a whole cast of characters. It made the time go by quickly, which I so appreciate. I liked the twists, makes it stand out from the other vampire stories out there. I'm on the lookout for similar audiobooks to help keep me entertained until spring gets here and I can do my walking outside. Free listen on audible.

Meh. The ensemble cast of actors, and audio effects were excellent, but nothing really original happened. Seemed like a typical vampire story. Us versus them. Hierarchy of vampires with rebel vampires going rogue. A resolution that leaves ya hanging. Oh, and 28 minutes left of End Credits. Maybe something else happened like Marvel movies, but I wasn‘t listening to 28 minutes of credits for some tiny tidbit😔

Entertainment-wise…this was near perfect…the sound effects could‘ve been toned down a bit, though. Story-wise…it was sort of lacking. I just wanted so much more from the story. This is one of the most intriguing Vampire concepts I‘ve encountered in a long time. Seriously they only scratched the surface of this dystopian world. I want more episodes, too
