Lisa is a therapist and lives a normal life with her husband and 2 children until a murder at the nearby beach changes everything. The entire book was pretty interesting with 2 different timelines. At times it did feel a little dragged but it was probably necessary for the character development. Overall it was a pretty engaging thriller with a good unexpected ending although I did expect more twists.

This was much better than I thought it would be. I put off trying a book by this author for quite some time because she is always available on KU…which tends to make me think they won‘t be any good. But every so often you find one that‘s a good one…now I‘ll have to try something else by her to see if it was just a fluke. Brittany Pressley is always a fav narrator. She‘s the reason I gave this particular book a try.

I really enjoyed this thriller. I predicted a couple of the big twists early on but it was so well plotted and written that I still couldn‘t put it down and was still very surprised by a couple things that happened.

So good! The author did such an amazing job at taking factual events and turning it into a fictional story. There are many POVs and timelines but the characters are so perfectly written and time described so well that you have no problem keeping track of what‘s happening. I found myself saying “oh, I know what‘s going on” or “I know who did it” only to be proven wrong time and time again. Will be reading more by this author!
