Day 10 of #31bookpics - These aren‘t necessarily ugly covers; but they are boooring. Elswyth Thane was out of print for decades, so these were the only editions available of her Williamsburg novels. But they recently reissued the first two as e-books, with lovely covers, and I want EVERYONE to buy them so that more of her books will come back into print!!
Elswyth Thane is one of my favorite authors. Her Williamsburg novels were out of print for about 30 years -- but they've been rereleased in Kindle & pb format!
They're an amazing series of books, following the same family from the 1700s till World War Two. The first, Dawn's Early Light, is set before and during the Revolutionary War, and would make great reading for tomorrow if anyone is having a lazy 4th! :)
