Started this today and enjoying the escape. My Fair Lady is my fav movie. I read Pygmalion a few years and enjoyed that too. This audiobook is well done and I‘m enjoying the nods to the original story.

Did I know I needed a YA gender-swap of My Fair Lady set in the food world in 1830s London where in an imagined reign of Queen Charlotte women can become the top of society as Culinarians? No-but it turns out I did! Helena Higgins is determined to graduate top of her class with a final project to make over humble street vendor Elijah Little into a Gentleman Chef with her sweet friend & fellow Culinaria student ⬇️

I am really enjoying this YA foodie gender-swap of My Fair Lady. It‘s fun & it‘s making me hungry. Luckily I have a bag of the best chewy mini chocolate chip cookies 🍪 to nosh on. Although I‘m going to need to put them away soon because it‘s just too easy to eat them all. 🍪🍪😋🍪🍪🍪
I went to an author event at my local B&N for author Jennieke Cohen. She was in conversation with fellow author Kate Abbott. (Full disclosure: I used to work with both of them at a publishing company.) It was really fun, and I‘m excited to read her new book!
First book on my Summer YA Reading List! I‘m excited to get back into YA books and ready for summer break from grad classes! #yabooks #summerreading #librarygradstudent
This was a really cute My Fair Lady retelling! I have seen My Fair Lady, but it was a while ago so I didn‘t pick up on any of the references to it. If you‘re a fan of the movie I‘m sure you would appreciate those references.

Has anyone read this yet? I am thinking about trying it out when it comes available on Scribd (the beginning of next month). It is a gender swap retelling of My Fair Lady. I loved the movie when I was a kid. Hoping it's good! 🤞🤞🤞
