There have to be camps for differently-abled kids like her, and shes going to sleuth one out. A place where she can trek through a forest, fly on a zip line, and even ride on a horse! A place where maybe she really can finally make a real friend, make her own decisions, and even do things on her ownthe dream! By the light of flickering campfires and the power of thunderstorms, through the terror of unexpected creatures in cabins and the first sparkle of a crush, Melodys about to discover how brave and strong she really is.

I couldn‘t wait so I started and finished the sequel to Out of My Mind after my reread. This book is all about Melody going to a summer camp for kids like her, and how she builds friendships (and a crush!) there. I honestly could read 5000+ pages of Melody just having a good time at an inclusive summer camp (with or without a plot) because I‘m just so happy for her - having her experience real FUN is so wholesome and heartwarming.

First book of the break finished! It was a warm hug of a book, about a middle school girl going to camp for the first time. A sequel to Out of my Mind, which was also delightful. 💗

EvieBee I am looking forward to this one! 3y

This book was incredible. I am so glad I picked it up for my 11 year old niece as a Christmas gift. I started a tradition with the kids on my husband's side of the family. I pick a book and read it. Then I write them a note. It has become my favorite Christmas tradition. #WinterGames2021 #TeamGameSleighers #WinterCosy #AVeryMerryReadathon #DashingDecember @StayCurious @puddlejumper @TheSpineView @Andrew65

TheSpineView That is a lovely tradition! 3y
Rissa1 @TheSpineView I love it. One of my nephews sit and reads after opening presents instead of playing with his new toys. The niece has in the past written a letter in return when she finishes the book. We don't see each other a lot as they live in another state, this allows me to feel connected with them. 3y
Reggie That is utterly charming! 3y
StayCurious I love that so much 3y
