pickI don't usually read historicals that are this late in time, because I tend to keep sliding into modern day. That happened here too, especially since I have been to all these places and on all these roads. And I always start road trips with On The Road Again, which is a better song than the forgettable film it was written for.

Saturday night's read. I had yesterday off, but didn't get any reading done. I watched all of season 2 of Bridgerton instead.
As I sat home at that same time, I wondered what effect the pandemic would have on our books, movies, and other forms of creative expression. As we grapple with a world that is opening up but is still deeply at risk, I‘m still wondering. I look forward to the time this is all a difficult memory.

My last trip was Florida to Quebec, 5 days in a U-Haul truck with an unhappy cat and a cranky senior citizen and the radio didn't work (no Willie! No wonder the trip was so terrible!). 2y
