Hostile Intent (Danger Never Sleeps Book #4)
Hostile Intent (Danger Never Sleeps Book #4) | Lynette Eason
6 posts | 4 read
Ava Jackson entered the military shortly after high school, but her mother's illness has forced her to request an early discharge. She already lost her father while deployed, and there's no way she's going to let her mother die alone. But after a visit to the nursing facility where her mother lives, Ava is attacked walking back to her car. Fortunately, FBI Special Agent Caden Denning arrives in time to help fight off her attacker. Caden reveals to Ava that she may hold the key to the murders of three families, and he needs her help before anyone else is harmed. The hits show a pattern, and clearly the killer has an agenda. But if Caden and Ava can't discover what it is, Ava may be next on the hit list. Bestselling author Lynette Eason concludes her latest suspense-filled series with a bang as secrets are revealed and the guilty are brought to justice.

Final book in the series. Excellent. Eason is a super writer of Christian suspense. Can not wait for next one.

I've been on a thriller kick the last several days. This book was gifted to me from the publisher @revellbooks in exchange for a review. A solid conclusion to the Danger Never Sleeps series, this one had great pacing and likable characters, although Ana did almost cross the "too perfect" line - I'm a bit tired of women who DO IT ALL like literally speak six languages, brilliant with computers, knows how to scuba dive & rock climb, runs marathons⬇️

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) etc. etc. but haha she doesn't cook so it's not like she's PERFECT perfect! *eye roll* ANYWAY setting that aside I actually did enjoy this one. I also feel like Eason does a nice job of making her characters be Christians whose religion is important to them without constantly preaching on every page & she also avoids the missionary dating trope many of these types of stories follow. An enjoyable read & I'm interested to see what Eason ⬇ 3y

This story was very intense! There‘s lots of action, secrets, and hidden agendas that eventually come to light. Ava was very capable of taking care of herself and she didn‘t let her fears rule her life. The romance was there but not in an overwhelming abundance.
DISCLAIMER: Some of the action scenes are pretty graphic.
I received this book from the publisher for my honest review.

The thriller and suspense elements in Hostile Intent were truly a wonderful example of both thrilling action and suspenseful villainy. The antagonist was creepy and a true psycho. I absolutely felt the pressure Ava and Caden were under to untangled all the clues to find the truth of who was behind the killings taking place. Overall, this story was such a wild ride that had plenty of heart stopping moments to enjoy.
