This was a very quick read, perfect to distract me from a horrible cold. Three years ago I would of said I would never be ready to read about the pandemic. But now it feels distant enough. And it did not feel at the forefront of this story. So it was perfect for #booked2023 #setinapandemic There were definitely a couple of moments I didn‘t see coming. But I did start to get bored when parts of the timeline repeated word for word.

Cinfhen Hope you‘re feeling better ❣️agree, this book was #GoodNotGreat 1y

No one knew they were together. Now one of them is dead.

Loved this clever, claustrophobic suspense novel set in the early days of the Pandemic. Alternate narration by the protagonists, and nonlinear timelines, fills in the gaps of this personal story told in a very familiar recent historical context. Well worth a listen.

I've chosen bks set in the pandemic with this thriller set as Dublin goes into lockdown in March 2022 and two people meet, form an attachment + move in together but something doesn't feel right, which one is deceiving the other. A very enjoyable page turner and tackles that strange period well.

Cinfhen This was a cool pandemic thriller!! Love your creativity 😷 3y

Such a clever, clever book. You think you have it figured out and then the twist and then a complete sucker punch twist. Excited for more from this author, brilliant book, loved it!

My second Catherine Ryan Howard book and it's left me wondering how was she not on my author radar previously to The Nothing Man?! Was I living under a rock?! A captivating read I literally struggled to put it down, 2 people meet in a grocery store, decide to live together during the lockdown to see if what they have is worth pursuing. They both have secrets. The ending omg so good. An atmospheric read ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This author writes a good thriller 👍🏻
Always slightly claustrophobic and realistic, with the added dimension in this one of lockdown.

There is no such thing as a 1:1 in the British HE system. I hate small factual inaccuracies.

squirrelbrain 😡 so annoying! 3y
TrishB @squirrelbrain I even checked Newcastle Uni‘s regs, which the author could have done too! 3y
squirrelbrain 🤔🤷‍♀️ 3y
