pickThink a girly Silicon Valley meets We Work! I got totally absorbed into Asha‘s world as she tries to build an alternative to social media. The characters felt like friends, I want to text them and see how they‘re doing! Not sure on the ending though… I really hope there‘s a sequel!
pickI really enjoyed this book with strong female characters who figure out how to function in a patriarchal industry and society. Sometimes it's easy to lose oneself in a relationship and for a greater good, but in the end Asha knows who she is.
so-soI‘ve been waiting for availability from the library for most of last year. I was greatly anticipating the read but as it turns out, it was a little disappointing. Not sure if it was premise of the startup that I didn‘t love or the actual writing. Meh.
pickEnjoyed this satirical read! Really interesting concept of a social media app that incorporates elements of religion or spirituality. And Asha is a badass..
pickThis #audiobook is very good. It's about a young woman programmer who marries her high school crush object, starts a company with him and a friend and how it all sort of spirals out of control. It's very funny. A bonus at the end is an interview between the author and the narrator that provides a lot of insight.

pickAsha is a brilliant coder who creates a new platform that takes off. But her husband becomes the face of it as she is steadily marginalized more and more. It took me a long time to get into this book and I actually considered bailing about 1/4 in, but ultimately it redeemed itself by showing how women are often marginalized and how we often play into it just to get a seat at the table. I didn‘t love the audio narrator, though.

pickI thought this was a really smart read - Asha and her husband found a company, and of course things don't go smoothly. It address tech, sexism, religion, death, and relationships. Reminded me a little of Meg Wolitzer or Megan Abbott. Great writing, and I'd definitely read more by this author.
