Can Jessica live without Elizabeth? Sweet Valley is stunned by the news: beautiful young Elizabeth Wakefield is in a coma after a terrible motorcycle accident. Everyone waits with bated breath for any change in her condition, especially Elizabeth's boyfriend Todd, who was driving when accident happened. But there is no one more upset than Elizabeth's twin, Jessica. She keeps watch over unconscious body of her sister, desperately hoping she'll recover. What if Elizabeth never wakes up? Or worse...what if Elizabeth wakes up changed? Dear Sister is a Sweet Valley High book by Francine Pascal.

4✨ The series is getting to a point that I don‘t want to stop reading. It is quite backwards from normal characteristics of our twins. I did not like Elizabeth‘s character in this book, but it did end mostly for the better. Interested to see the aftermath at the end in the next book.

I‘m pretty sure I make some version of this statement every time we talk about the Wakefields on my book podcast, but I‘m going to say it, anyway: this Sweet Valley installment might just be the most bananas one yet. Episode 238 is all about the seventh book in the SVH series, DEAR SISTER — and it features a pair of real subject matter experts in Anna and Karyn, hosts of the Double Love podcast. ☀️👯‍♀️ Listen at the link in my bio!

When I was a kid my most #belovedseries was Sweet Valley High. Unfortunately my very religious Primary School thought that the books weren‘t appropriate and banned them. The next day a friend brought her Mum‘s copy of Flowers in the Attic and all the girls openly read that instead. 10000 times worse than SVH! Our teachers had no idea #bannedbooks #riotgrams @bookriot

AshleyHoss820 Flowers in the Attic!? 🤣🤣🤣 Good for you guys! Down with censorship! 😂 7y
Bindrosbookshelf Wow that escalated quickly😏 7y
Wilkie @AshleyHoss820 @Bindross yep! it went from books about holding hands to books about incest in 24 hrs. 7y

Omg this is NSFW and adultish humor (many have curses) but I just laughed so hard I'm crying.... Photoshopped kids books. The Sweet Valley ones kill me because I think I read them all! Lol. http://www.thingsyoushouldlearn.com/2016/04/anonymous-artist-is-photoshopping-ki...

For day one of #characters2017 - my favorite #dramaqueen and my favorite twin, Jessica Wakefield. I'm thoroughly enjoying reading through the entire series for the first time, and Jess's drama queen self is in full display in the earlier books especially. Long live the 80s! #SVH #sweetvalley #twins #nostalgia 👸🏻👸🏻👸🏻

One of my bookish New Year's resolutions was to finally start reading through the entire Sweet Valley High and University series, and to complete my collection. I must say, I'm already addicted! These books are so bad they're good. 😂😂😂 #SweetValley #nostalgia

ScrappyMags Yes!! I found my entire original collection . Those books are calling 8y
JenlovesJT47 @ScrappyMags yes! I have an entire bookshelf full of Sweet Valley books and paraphernalia. I just discovered that after book 12, most all of the SVH books are now on kindle unlimited. *squeal!* 8y
bookishkai @JenlovesJT47 NO! OMG. *runs off to amazon to see if the books are as terrible/highly addictive as I remember them being when I was 10* 8y

JenlovesJT47 @bookishkris you've fallen down the rabbit hole! I dare you not to get addicted! 😂🐰 8y
ScrappyMags @JenlovesJT47 oh that's awesome!! I always hated Jessica so much though. Lol 8y
JenlovesJT47 @ScrappyMags lol Jessica is pretty bad in the early books but she's generally my favorite. I started reading them in the early 90s and by that time they weren't so black and white, aka Liz is a saint and Jessica is evil. Never knew why they did that at the beginning 8y
ScrappyMags @JenlovesJT47 thats true! Clearly she didn't bother me too much as I read the entire series and BEGGED my parents to buy more and more 8y
