The 26th of November
The 26th of November: A Pride and Prejudice Comedy of Farcical Proportions | Elizabeth Adams
2 posts | 1 read | 8 to read
The Netherfield Ball: Classic. Predictable. Immortalized. But, what if Elizabeth were forced to relive it over and over and over again? Night after night after night? Elizabeth: Clever. Witty. Confident. Suddenly, her confusion and desperation make her question things she long thought she knew. Mr. Darcy: Proud. Unapproachable. Bad tempered. In this world where nothing is as it seems, Elizabeth must learn to see through new eyes. Including a man she thought she hated. Let the hilarity ensue.

So I really wanted to participate in the #200PnPcovers photo challenge with @CrowCAH and @mabell but I'm kind of terrible at photo challenges. Over the weekend I was halfheartedly shuffling through my bookshelves trying to think of books that would match the prompts when I was struck with inspiration. I have definitely read more than 31 P&P **variations** so what if I matched a variation with each prompt?? Some of been great, some of have been ⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) terrible, but I am going to take you all through a ride in the P&P variation world 😂

Today's prompt is #Balls so it seemed appropriate to start with a variation I thoroughly enjoyed last year - a mashup of P&P and Groundhog Day, with Elizabeth forced to relive the day of the Netherfield Ball over and over. A bit silly but a great deal of fun.

LeahBergen Very cool idea! 👏 3y
CrowCAH What a neat idea! There‘s bound to be one this month which I‘ll have to add to the TBR! 3y
TheAromaofBooks @CrowCAH - Or at least you'll know which ones to avoid!! 😂 3y

Pickpick

P&P with a splash of Groundhog Day!! Elizabeth has to keep living the day of the Netherfield Ball over & over. I loved seeing her face some facts about her perspectives & some of her attempts to get out of the cycle were quite entertaining. Lighthearted & fun, I really enjoyed this one. Darcy doesn't live the same day, but we do get his perspective at the end - a little repetitive but still entertaining.

galueth28 This looks really fun, adding to mt stack. 4y
CoffeeK8 This sounds fun! 4y
TheAromaofBooks @galueth28 @CoffeeK8 - It's not a very long or angsty read, just some fluff with a fun little concept. I really enjoyed it!! 4y

Clare-Dragonfly This does sound like fun! Is this one of the Kindle Unlimited ones? 4y
TheAromaofBooks @Clare-Dragonfly - Yes, it is! And when I was checking out KU to see if I wanted to get it for a month, there was a deal to get the month for 99 cents, so you may see if that's available for you! Also, I've read several of this author's books & most of them have been pretty solid. 4y
Clare-Dragonfly @TheAromaofBooks No 99c deal for me. Just $30 for 6 months and I‘m not willing to spend that much. 😭 I might break down and spend the $3 for A Contrary Wind, though. It just sounds so interesting! 4y
TheAromaofBooks @Clare-Dragonfly - So lame!!!! I've been on a P&P variation binge so I'm getting my 99c worth! 😂 4y
