Recommended to me since I liked The Chronicles of St Mary's series, The Great Library series, The Invisible Library series, with hints of Warehouse 13 and Artemis Fowl.

Paraphrasing another reviewer on Goodreads: It was a free audiobook with Audible subscription and this is how it read. It wanted to be more than it could deliver.

This was a bit of a mess of a book. It had a cool (if not entirely original) idea but was let down by poor writing, odd plot choices, and one-dimensional characters that I never really cared enough about to try and understand wtf was going on đź¤·đźŹ»â€Ťâ™€ď¸Ź #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks At least it‘s another book off the backlist!
