Not sure my words are going to be able to express how much I loved this book.

I found Maria Shriver so inspirational, and there is so much I take from this book.

I would undoubtedly read it again for inspiration.

More than anything I love that she emphasizes hope, and we can never give it up.

If you never read a book I recommend, please... read this book.

My son gifted everyone books this year. He wrote a personal note in each one. 🥰 I‘m anxious to read this. #proudmom

I love this book of essays, reflections and prayers. I read one essay every day before work. It was a great way to start the day.

I‘ve been having a hard time reading the last few months so it took much longer to read this than it should have but it‘s a lovely book - honest and inspirational, I look forward to reading it again (and I never read books twice with all the books waiting to be read). Five 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for this one.

I‘m enjoying this one - short, easy to read chapters, nice to read a chapter or two at a time and contemplate; it‘s not a book to rush through.

I read this in a day. I also took notes because I wanted to be able to remember and consider her words in my own life. Such a smart woman with wise words. This is great reading for everyone on how to treat yourself and others and that everyone has a purpose.

Each of these essay-devotionals ends with a sweet little non-sectarian prayer. The book is full of hard-won insights from a woman who has lived through a lot. My fave was when she had a weeping fit in Bed Bath & Beyond over outfitting an apartment and dorm room for departing kids. Sounds like me. #motherhood #inspiration Photo is from

Very nourishing. A great little contemplative book of tiny essay-devotionals. Heard about it via the On Being podcast. Still working my way through. #nonfiction #inspirational

Aimeesue Krista Tippett brings it, again. I just bought a book I heard about in the America Ferrera/John Paul Lederach episode (which was a FABULOUS episode that everyone should listen to, btw) 😋 (edited) 6y
jillrhudy Really? I skipped over that one. I‘ll lend it an ear. 6y
Aimeesue @jillrhudy I‘m pretty heavily into social justice and seeing things from different viewpoints, and how things change, so it really appealed to me. Still thinking about it, actually. 6y

jillrhudy @Aimeesue I seem to be behind on everything except my job: dr appointments, laundry, housework, reading (but not Bleak House!), therapy exercises AND podcasts! I did listen to this one and WOW. I loved that thing about your 200 year life. 6y
jillrhudy @Aimeesue A Lovespan, if you will, in which your great-grandparents pour love into you and you pour that same love into the youngest person in your family that you hold in your arms. PROFOUND!!! 6y
Aimeesue @jillrhudy A Lovespan! That's a wonderful way to put it. ❤️❤️❤️ (edited) 6y
jillrhudy I told Steve and he teared up and showed me a photo of himself with his great-grandparents. 6y

This is Day 6 sick in bed. So, admittedly, I read this book in a heavily drugged state. I vaguely remember liking a previous book or two of hers better. But, this was a fine/pleasant/easy read. Shriver is a kind, smart lady.

Very uplifting and a wonderful book to give as a gift. I read a chapter a day and will re-read it again and again.
