Nothing makes me happier than this picture. He wanted to get under the blanket with me and 'read' next to me. He is 6 and reading is not his strongest subject in school. At least he was flipping through the pictures and reading the odd word as he went through the book. He has only brought non-fiction books home from our local library and his school library - so nice to see him enjoying some fiction.

Lane was *so excited* to discover a graphic novel of Dinosaurs Before Dark - he recognized that he'd be able to understand the story without me reading it to him because there were so many pictures 😊
He also insisted I join him in the gaming chairs- clearly the best spot to read in the library! #raisingreaders

I was never much of a fan of the Magic Tree House books. Currently it looks like the MTH has ended at book 55 which was published in 2016, but a whole new group will be introduced to these stories and characters through graphic novels. The Graphic novels don‘t seem to be as easy as the chapter books were, but that may be a misconception by the author. The graphics were good and the story translated well. I can not wait to read the next one.
