The first of the series, Lobizona, was one of my favorites last year and this one doesn‘t disappoint. A magical world that explores what it means to be different, the outsider, illegal. The series is supposed to be a duology, but I‘m hoping for a third

4.5/5 ⭐️ I really enjoyed this sequel to Lobizona! It has such a great cast of characters. The broader themes about immigration and LGBTQIA are well done too. I hope the author writes a third book!

Excellent continuation. ? The book picks up where book 1 ended and Manu and her friends are running for their lives. With all the groundwork established in the first book, Garber was able to really feed off of that and let this fantasy book about witches and werewolves flourish.

The underlying theme of being illegal, undocumented, and unaccepted by "normal" society is a powerful message in this book.

There is no label —in any language —with the power to liberate. The only truth we can offer one another is love.”

In the second book we immediately pick up where Lobizona left off with Manu and her friends as they fight for a better future for all lobizones and brujas in this retelling of Argentine Folklore.

I loved being back in the world and can‘t wait for book 3. I love the characters and the world.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Filled with magic, wonder and mystery, Cazadora is the perfect follow-up to Lobizona. I love the vehicle through which Garber sends her messages, being entertaining yet direct. The characters are well developed, but I also appreciated their strength, determination, and unrelenting desire to protect those in their pack; I especially enjoyed the numerous tough women found between the pages. My only complaint would have to do with the ending.

I am in the middle of this eARC (courtesy of Netgally) and while I love it for th world building I have to say it's slow for me. It jumps in right after book one (Lobinoza) ends and it references that book a lot. I feel like I should have reread book 1.

WanderingBookaneer @Bookwormjillk : I hated the cover but enjoyed the story. It broke down gender stereotypes in a cool way. I‘m looking forward to the sequel. 4y
