Love this audiobook series but I don‘t understand why the main character has an American accent even though he was born and raised in the UK and all the other characters (including his family) have British accents

If you like time travel stories…without much in the way of explanation, like the sciency-stuff, then you‘ll love this. This time travel Is more fantastical than the scientific variety. It was, however, a little bit depressing being in Joe's head throughout most of this book. With that being said, I do believe the subsequent books will have Joe in a better headspace. So, I think I will continue the series.

Get ready, this is a rave review. I love, love, loved this book. Time travel is always on my radar, I‘m fascinated by changing things in the past and repercussions for the future and this book had it in spades. There were a couple of surprise twists and I admit, some questions left unanswered, but they just made me delve straight into book 2. Joe is a fabulous main character and his band of friends are helpful and interesting. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Teresereading I love time travel too! 2y

I loved all characters, Joe was extremely likable and I also liked the secondary characters. Joe had some friends who were a really nice addition to the story.

I loved the setting as well so much! I don't know many things that intrigues me more than mystery combined with fairground.

There were some twists that I knew were coming. There were also some tiniest holes in logic.

One of those unexpected books that you end up loving. If you enjoy time travel books then I do recommend this one as Joseph seeks to save his sister who disappeared many years ago. Love the ending and the way it set it up for the second book in the series. As usual time travel and outcomes from it can mess with your head 🤣 If part of Audible in UK then this can be freely accessed.

Book 1 finished for #20in4
