Another favorite series, cozy mysteries set in a small NC town

Nora's October window display of strong women standing around a cauldron is not appreciated by everyone, and her bookstore is one of a few businesses that are being targeted by a local group as places to avoid. Things get more serious when two murders occur. Nora helps solve the murders, as well as the mystery of an old book of potions.
#4 in the Secret, Book & Scone Society Series

Book 4 in the series. Not my favorite but still a good, quick audiobook. I enjoy my visits to Miracle Springs.

OK, the 4th book in the Secret, Book, and Scone Society cozy mystery series done & I‘m ready for my book tour review #ARC of the 5th. I love this series & characters & the fact that even when I only have dribs & drabs of time to read, they are quick reads I can grab & escape with. This one is good entry however, I‘m learning that newcomers to Miracle Springs should watch out so Nora‘s delightful bookstore & friends not be worth the move! 📚🤷🏻♀️
Ellery Adams is a treasure and so are her characters. The women of the Secret, Book, and Scone Society are so cleverly crafted.

We‘re listening to the tagged book while I drive 30
Mins for a covid test to cross the border. No significant symptoms so hoping for a negative so we can finally go on vacay!
UPDATE: to Canada we go! I‘m just going to miss Wes so much though 😭
Another fun and interesting cozy mystery by Ellery Adams.
4 of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Books and doors are the same thing. You open them, and you go through into another world.” Jeanette Winterson
Finished this 4th Book in Ellery Adams Secret, Book And Scone Society series. I enjoyed the interesting characters throughout. Some of the plot twists are a bit unbelievable but it is very entertaining. I was sad to end this series but my sadness was softened after I discovered that a 5th book in the series will be released in April 2022. I will look forward to that.
Started this book, which is the 4th and last in this series by Ellery Adams. These are quick and fun reads for me. They are a bit addictive, like eating potato chips. The charming main characters, their supportive friendship, and the intriguing mysteries they solve make for a fun read that you don‘t want to end.
Enjoyed this one. Loved how CBD and alpha-gal allergies were woven into the plot. Nora handled the protestors well, and her relationship with Jed. The Secret, Book, and Scone society worked together to help solve another crime. Hoping there‘s another book coming soon. Really enjoy this series. Also fun to peruse her lists of books at the end on topics like strong women, bullying for kids, finding your way & reading aloud to the visually impaired.
This is the 4th book in the Miracle Springs mysteries. I‘m hoping she will continue the series because I have enjoyed getting to know the found family of characters & the mysteries are interesting. The setting of the bookstore, the book quotes & references, and the many times the MC ruminates on the love of books adds to any reader‘s enjoyment. Also, I want a book pastry & some scones. And Sheldon‘s Cuban food.
I enjoyed this latest installment in the Secret, Book, and Scone Society series. It was another perfect cozy mystery set in small town NC, with the MC running her beloved bookshop while sleuthing the latest murder. The series is set not far from where I live and I love slipping into Nora's town with her close-knit group of friends and all the lovely small businesses.
This was my #bookspin for March! @TheAromaofBooks
Evening plans = cozy mystery + bubble bath
Yes please 😊
Here's my #bookspinbingo card for the month of March! I've already finished two books so far 😁 My #bookspin is The Boy in the Well, which is an arc that I'm about halfway through and is getting good so I should finish quickly. My #doublespin is the tagged book, which is the newest installment in a series I enjoy. So super excited for that as well!

Ink and Shadows is the 4th book in the Secret Book and Scone Society series by Ellery Adams. Set in miracle springs NC, local bookstore owner Nora Pennington along with several other strong female business owners form the Secret Book and Scone Society. A source of support to one another, active in and for the community, Nora and her friends have a knack of discovering trouble and ferreting out the source of evil behind it (continued in comments)
“She smiled because so many books were being chosen. So many books were finding readers.” Y‘ALL, I‘M LITERALLY CRYING OVER THIS LINE. This is exactly why I love what I do - watching someone pick a book off the shelf to borrow, or listening to someone talking about their favorite book, the memories of beloved characters...it really is magical. (And probably why I hoard books. What if they need me as much as I need them?) #inkandshadows #elleryadams
Even though January and February are generally super-dreary and seem to take a really long time to get through, it always means a new #SecretBookandSconeSociety novel, and that makes it all worth it. 💖📚 #inkandshadows #elleryadams #norapennington #miraclesprings #cozymystery #northcarolina #booksaboutbooksellers #magic
Books about books and friendships and this series gets better and better. When I read this fourth installment of The Secret Book and Scone Society, I was immediately transported back to Miracle Springs, NC. I love how tender and nuanced this story was , more than a typical murder mystery. I am truly in love with this series and author and anxiously awaiting for the next installment to visit the beloved Miracle Springs!
