This is really good! Caught up in a dodgy curse, Juliet keeps reincarnating and reliving a doomed romance. It‘s really readable and I loved the historical sections. Reminded me of Interview with a vampire but I hear others compare it to Addie Larue. Well worth 99p on kindle. 👍

I have no idea where I found this book but I am glad that I did. For Spooky season, a young girl is cursed by her mom in 1895. In present day 2012, Helen meets a man who she seems to know but whom she cannot place. Reincarnation through a curse. Loved this read. A love story through the ages with a hint of witchery.

I was going to give this book a 4 star rating until the last few chapters, and then it quickly shot up to a 5. Wow! I absolutely love how everything came together. Even the epilogue was amazing! I‘ve been looking forward to reading this book for a long time. My only disappointment is that it‘s over. The story, the characters, the magic….I have a feeling that I‘ll be reading this one again.

This book was just so beautiful! It combined so many fantastic elements together and they all worked almost seamlessly. The multiple storylines never got confusing and wove together beautifully. Even the multiple versions of each character was written so well. I would have loved some more exploration of the magic mythos in this world. But leaving it as it is really kept a slightly mysterious air, which also really worked.

When it's hot, you stay in and read your book with a cold one.

Weekend Project, Turning my Grandfather's utility closet into a Witchy bookshelf

This one got a little long by the end but I enjoyed it for the most part even as I occasionally wondered why exactly I liked it. Does that ever happen to you? Anyway, when Juliet‘s mother, a minor witch, botches a curse, she binds Juliet to her lover & a demon…for all time. (Thanks mom). Juliet relives her affair & dies over & over until finally, she realizes she might have some powers of her own. Entertaining read for the most part.

Today‘s reading. (This ARC has languished in my TBR pile for some time—the book was published early 2020!)

For some reason I thought this was going to be more "literary" but thankfully it's a lot more fun than that! I was almost instantly invested in the thing - it has that addictive, highly readable quality. The flashback sections are great - I loved Nora's story in particular - and the ending hints at a happy resolution. This would make a good book to read all in one go on a beach somewhere....

Hmmm...interesting concept. A witch reincarnates and develops new powers with each life. Her mother, a minor witch, botches a curse and so she gets tied to a love interest and the curse administrator in each life. Her lives were ok, her powers seemed limited and she doesn‘t remember what she learned in previous lives soon enough to help...until maybe this one. Lots of potential, but also lots of flaws and holes. Decent enough, not great.

This book was a lot darker than I was expecting. The story was confusing at times, but it basically boiled down to this: a woman has a curse placed on her by her mother so she ends up reliving the same toxic relationship over and over. I think we as reader were supposed to feel like there was something romantic about this, but I just couldn‘t support it. I listened to this as an audiobook, which was fine. TW for suicide & rape.

This was WONDERFUL! It was so much more than I expected. I‘d hope people wouldn‘t dismiss this as fantasy/paranormal and not bother as I think it‘s got more to give. It‘s a love story, or in fact several, played out over hundreds of years.
It reminded me of a few of Taylor Jenkins Reid‘s books, mostly because of similar settings in some of the lives.

Finishing this book had me completing my 2020 goodreads reading challenge of 30 books. I‘ve been reading more and faster than I expected when I started this year.
The book was good. I enjoyed the writing and how the 4 different women are brought together and connected. 🤓❤️

Over the weekend I got to go to an independent bookstore near where I live. I had to make an appointment for 30 minutes, use hand sanitizer before walking in the door, wear a mask at all times, and leave any books I didn‘t want but touched on the floor to be reshelved. This was all not a problem because I came away with this lovely stack. I‘ve started the tagged book and Starless came highly recommended by the person working the bookstore. 🤓📚

This was well written and so engaging! ♥️I was hooked right from the beginning! Its been hard to focus on reading but this book had lots of fun elements, different/diverse storylines; supernatural elements etc. It held my attention from the beginning and did not let go. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Very good book. What with the Corona Virus I‘ve had a hard time concentrating so I‘ve been bouncing around books. I probably have close to 50 in different stages. This one kept me interested as long as I didn‘t have to put it down! A solid ✴️✴️✴️✴️

A woman is doomed to relive a doomed love affair through the ages. But once she has the strength to break the curse that binds her will she do it? This book is reminiscent of A Discovery of Witches and one that held me captivated. Both tragic and sweet this is a story you won‘t want to miss.

Bought it today a third of the way through......so very good so far.

I liked this. I think some time lines were drawn out a little much but I like that everything fit together in the end.

A mash up of historical fiction, romance, & paranormal, this was a dang good time. I loved the story & enjoyed the movement through time. Sayers's ability to set a scene is just plain magical. In addition, the construction of the plot with the use of dreams & flashbacks could have been corny, but is so well done & super effective. For some readers, the story may seem mildly contrived in places, but I DIDN'T CARE. I was totally here for ALL of it.

This is going to be on my top 2020 reads list FOR SURE!!
I LOVED this book. Every word, every page, every character. It was a wonderful, exciting ride filled with a witch‘s curse, a romance that spans lifetimes, secrets, and so much more!
