I definitely enjoyed the author's first book about Broadway, Razzle Dazzle, more - it felt more narratively driven and tightly edited. This one focused on the 90s as well as a bit on 2001 and the impacts of 9/11 on Broadway. Overall it felt like it meandered too long between a smaller amount of information in the same amount of space as the first book and I didn't feel as engaged the whole time.
