I started this book with short “horror” stories.
None of them have really piqued my interest so far, but I‘m powering through.
So I went into a non-grocery store for the first time since March, and it was obviously a bookstore. I bought some horror books, and one of the people working there described this one as beautiful, then almost tripped over himself to clarify that bad things happen in it. I told him that, since I was buying exclusively horror, that I "got" beautiful. It was a very cute, nice interaction that doesn't translate to being written out.
