This was probably the least enjoyable. I expected this to be about Hera, not Hercules. It was about the labors of Hercules with only a few pages of Hera

“for when the men of Ancient Greece wrote down their stories, they did not think to ask the women for theirs.”
Not just Ancient Greece.
“Whether or not it is true is unimportant.”
Well, yes and no. Whether it is FACT or not is unimportant, but myth/story can be TRUE without being fact.
Another great installment. Unlike so many depictions of Hera, this one shows a complex woman who is much more than a vindictive shrew. She IS vindictive - but we see more of why that is, along with other dimensions. I wish the story of Heracles had taken up a little less, but it was all great.
5⭐️Growing up I was enthralled with Greek Mythology and Gods and Goddesses. My sisters and I used to play Dress Up and reenact the different stories and our favorite goddesses. The D‘Aulaires book at age six that began a Love for ancient mythology. 🌈🐉🌳This is my favorite so far- in past works her personality is basically “shrew”. Not so with this take. She has personality and goes into her marriage with Zeus eyes wide open.
