I enjoyed diving into a classic I really can‘t remember reading before. I liked the story & how Twain wrote it. Thank you for putting it back on my radar, Sarah 🤓

Chapters 1-8:
Hey friends!! I was supposed to post this Monday, and it's only Wednesday, so that's pretty good 😂 How are you enjoying the book so far? I think I may have read this one back in high school, and remember the basic premise, but none of the details. For instance, I had completely forgotten that Edward doesn't WANT to go out and explore London - that happens accidentally! I feel bad for Tom, who really is trying to explain, but I am⬇
May's #RandomClassic (literally I draw a number to find which classic is next! 😂) is The Prince & the Pauper, which I feel like I may have read in middle school?? But that was many a year ago, so I can't remember anything about this one at all. I'll be reading a chapter a day, starting today, until I finish - with 33 chapters, it will take me just a little bit into June. I'll be posting a weekly discussion post every Monday if anyone wants to ⬇
@TheAromaofBooks is hosting the #RandomClassics Readathon.
May‘s book is The Prince and the Pauper by Twain. Low key readathon where you read 1 chapter a day starting on the 1st day of the month and continuing until the book is done.
We‘d love to have you join us. See her post to get added to the tag list. Join any months, skip the ones you aren‘t interested in.
May's #RandomClassic is going to be The Prince and the Pauper!! I've read this one in the far distant past, but honestly don't remember much about it. If anyone would like to join me, please let me know! I'll be reading a chapter a day starting May 1, which means it will carry over very slightly into June as there are 33 chapters.
Also let me know if you would like to join me with any of the year's later reads, and I will add you to the tag ⬇
I enjoyed the book a lot!!! I borrowed it from my mom and stepdad. My stepdad has a lot of the classic books so I enjoy getting to read them. I love this book !!! I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars!!!

Day 243.
Here I will note 365 books (or as many as I will have before I get tired) that have shaped my taste in literature. No explanations, no reviews. Just the cover of the book.
I do not challenge anyone. You are all welcome to take part.
This childhood edition of The Prince and the Pauper was read repeatedly. Random memory - added “offal” to my vocab from this book. #childhoodmemories is my #decembermonthlymotif

Day 19: #ReversalOfFortune #FebruaryFeels
I love Mark Twain, but is probably one of my least favorite of his works.
I remember watching this series on TV when I was a child. I knew it starred Nicholas (Only Fools and Horses) Lyndhurst, but didn‘t realise until just now that it also starred June Brown (Eastenders).

Finished on this morning's commute!
I honestly had no idea Twain wrote this! It has some of his classic wit and humor that I enjoyed! Switching places and seeing both the ups and downs of each side made a great story. My only previous knowledge of this was the Barbie movie I watched when I was maybe 8?! 😂
I greatly enjoyed this book. The story is fantastic!
Finally finished this book! It took me too long, haha! I liked this ending paragraph. It was a good way to close this classic. #marktwain #marchinbooks

This is the first book that I started using Serial Reader. What a great app, it makes reading a daunting book far more manageable. I thoroughly recommend having a look if you haven't already. I really enjoyed this book too. It was nice to read another Twain.
2) both 3) wine 4) green 5) prince and the pauper. Ps: almost done with book 😊😊. #humpdaypost
Doing some morning reading with my cat, Evie. Found this book on my bookshelf. It was given to me from my dad who got in the 70‘s! Good classic!
I feel like I‘ve read better and I do have troubles really getting into Twain.
Reading this before my internship starts tomorrow. Sometimes I find it so sad to read biographies of authors because I know that like most of Upstate New York, the places that these authors lived are all run down now, have an extremely poor population, and are in ruins.
Who needs a valentine when you have this place? Pphh #halfpricebooks #bae
A good night in with an old favorite. #marktwain #nostalgia
That's what all the front covers look like. They're so pretty😍😍and I'm just about to rearrange my library shelves and make a shelf just for classics. Talk about great timing!🙌🙌 #prettyprettybooks #stillhappydancing
Twain's prophecy of days to come. As I understand it, Prince hires a poor, naked look-alike to switch places with him and then orders the poor guy murdered so that Prince, having already legally changed his name multiple times, can live the remainder of his life in anonymity.
