Looks like I will be reading Monogamy this month @BarbaraBB 👍🏻
Here are my #bookspin, a print new purchase, and #doublespin, a short #audiobook that I purchased at the last 2-for-1 sale. 😁
The narrator is married to a bigger than life man. It‘s not only their story, but also her story and his story, and the other people in their lives. Well worth reading.
I didn‘t connect with this book the first time I picked it up. I found it had a very slow start. My second attempt was much better. I guess I was in the proper frame of mind because I fell right into it and found it to be a very comforting read. 4⭐️book for me. 🍂
Finished three books this week, and have plans for two for the next few days, one because of library deadlines, one because of book club... but I am learning that I like to ignore my own forecasts!

@Cinfhen
Recommend the tagged book for musings on loneliness, marriage, grief and memory. Thought it was excellent.
If you like a police procedural series I am enjoying the Caz Frear books
Well, I got a bit addicted to Christmas Crime Capers over the last week! Read about 4 or 5 in all, finally got a bit fed up of them yesterday (I love Agatha but they do get a bit same-y) and started two more contemporary novels which are both great and I hope to perhaps finish them this week! #bookreport
Monogamy is the portrait of grief while looking back on a marriage. I thought it was fantastic. It‘s quiet and intimate and stunningly read by the author. What a fabulous way to kick off a year in reading!
After the death of her husband, Anne learns that he had an affair. This knowledge shifts the ways in which Anne reflects on her marriage, spiraling her into fits of anger and grief. This book is a character-driven commentary of relationships between partners, parents and children, and friends. This plot offers a slow burn, digging deep into what it means to love someone, in spite of all their flaws. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
A simple novel, that reflects on love, marriage and family.

Thank you so much wonderful Amy. I can‘t wait to read this - I always love books that you love! Loved the cat ( and dog!) theme too! 🥳🥰🥳Thank you honey for making my day special x
This was soooo my kind of book, and the audio was fantastic. Narrated by the author, her voice was warm and nuanced and perfect for this story.
What starts as a book about marriage and infidelity, becomes so much more. Love, sex, grief, family and friendships, art and creativity, secrets and regrets, aging and death....and each handled so deftly. Every character leapt from the page, and I cared about them all. Can‘t wait to read more Sue Miller.
