I really enjoyed getting to know the sisters. I want an actual biography of the Todd family cause that would be fascinating. Sometimes I didn‘t like the shifting POV with the sisters but I‘m an eternal crank so I‘m never fully satisfied.

Forgot to post this the other day for #FallBackIntoReading. Third book done - at this point I'll be happy if I get one or two more apples filled by the time autumn is coming to an end. Life is busy!

It was a struggle but I finally finished this book and I wasn't a fan. While I appreciated certain historical parts of the book the rest left much to be desired. The story is about Mary Lincoln and a few of her sisters. At a slow pace we learn about the mundane lives of the sisters - the past and present where they try to help Mary through her mental health. The history is mainly dates, cities, political victories/losses and a little civil war.
About half way through reading the tagged book - and not loving it. I feel like so far there isn't much of a plot and not a huge fan of the writing style. It is almost like a lot of facts being thrown at you (names, dates and what they do in politics) but it is disjointed and repetitive. There isn't much story so far and the little story there is, is progressing extremely slow. But we will see what the second half brings.

Going to start reading this book tonight. I randomly picked this up from our quaint local bookstore. I don't get to shop there often because the open hours are quite similar to my working hours - but I'm on maternity leave right now. I'm looking forward to a historical fiction that is in a time period that I don't typically read about.

Little trip to our very small local bookstore landed us a book for everyone. Trying to support local. Clifford Goes to Dog School in preparation of our little guy starting school this year. Sleep Tight Little Knight for our baby girl (and I'm sure the little guy as well) and Mrs. Lincoln's Sisters for myself. Has anyone read or heard good things about this book? I just picked it up on a whim - hadn't heard of it before now.
I won this gem from a goodreads giveaway!! So excited to read it!!
