Wednesday morning book & breakfast. I‘m about 70 pages into Rebekah Weatherspoon‘s latest, and I‘m loving the mix of Hollywood, ranching, and top shelf romantic banter.

A fun romance to start the year with. I think I liked the previous book in the series more, but this is still a lovely read. I wanted more comeuppance for the horrid starlet though.
Debated saving the last bit of this to finish tomorrow (because I like finishing something to start the year)/but it was so fun I decided to finish up now. Very loose on the retelling, but a very enjoyable story about an assisstant who hooks up with an actor and discovers neither of them can forget the other. Also she accidentally steals his Oscar.
This is an absolutely refreshing romance. I love Cinderella retellings and it‘s just so lovely to have one featuring a confident plus size African woman. This is the second installment in the Cowboys of California series and I‘m really looking forward to the next book.
4/5
Newly minted Oscar winner Sam Pleasant meets the girl of his dreams at an Oscar after party, but she refuses to tell him his name. Amanda McQueen is an assistant to a tv star, but gets a night off from her job when she goes to an Oscar after party and sleeps with Sam. She figures she'll never see Sam again until she goes to a wedding at the Pleasant family ranch.
It was a fun slow burn romance with a mix of Hollywood and cowboys.
