Anxious to get rid of Inspector Singh and his unconventional methods, Singapore's police force send him to KL to protect the interests of a Singaporean former supermodel on trial for the murder of her abusive Malaysian husband. She is released when her brother-in-law confesses to the murder. But the Inspector is convinced that neither of them did it. So who did?

Some satisfactory twists and turns as a SE Asian Colombo goes about his work.

Mehso-so

Was not at all impressed with the mystery or drawn in by the characters, but I did appreciate the setting in Malaysia and learning more about the dual court system there.

I didn't fully expect the murderer, and I'm not sure if that's because it wasn't fully developed in the story or if it was subtle enough I didn't pay attention. I thought it was a fun read though, I think I'll keep following the series.

#TeamSlaughter @Clwojick #Book7
This was an enjoyable story with multiple components that really added to the mystery. I loved the way the author played multiple characters agaisnt each other in their attempt to not go to jail. This story had two story lines running through it but you wouldn't know that if you gave up half way through .. and I almost did.

This was a good book, I am not interested in the series though.

This one was between a pick and a so-so. It was a decent cozy mystery and the setting was interesting to me, but it was pretty predictable and the main character wasn't very well fleshed out. I would try more from the series though. I'm using this one for my #ReadHarder challenge for a book set more than 5000 miles from my current location.

The book I most recently started is #setinsoutheastasia. I'm not far into it but I'm enjoying it so far, and learning a lot about some political and cultural issues between Malaysia and Singapore while I'm at it. #aprilbookshowers. And here's a completely unrelated photo of some flowers brought out by the April showers :)

BookishMe Was going to post the same series... 😄 😄 couldnt resist this series even when plots are thin and predictable ;p 8y

Singh is a bit like Nero Wolfe (expect that he does his own investigating) in size and character which is not bad but not very original. I did like the setting, the food descriptions. Which is one of the good thing about this novel. The plot is a bit predictable but had enough twist to satisfy my little mystery lover's heart. I liked that all three policemen came together and found common ground in a way that all three were able to shine through.
