This is another book that stuck with me ever since I've read it. Slaughter's brilliance and the killer in this book just totally took residence in a part of my brain and won't go.

But listening to this whilst knowing who the guilty party was just hit differently. I mean, the way Slaughter set it up so perfectly. Actually I've been listening to this whole series differently, and I'm so amazed at the little clues I've picked up this time around.

DogMomIrene I really need to just read her stuff. It all sounds so good. 3w
Enchanted_Bibliophile @DogMomIrene She's absolutely brilliant! Definitely one of my top authors 2w

I love the Will Trent series and the epilogue for this installment perfectly explains my fondness for the series. Along with being a really well written mystery/thriller series, it‘s a also a love story: Will and Sarah‘s love story (and I‘m here for it!)

OMG! I think this was the best book yet. The plot and the storyline kept me in suspense the whole time. I got pissed off, I cried, I cringed and I was happy. A warning though; there are very graphic scenes in this book. It‘s not for the faint of heart. Another thing; this is the last in the series until August of this year. Until then. #SeriesLove2023 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView

Andrew65 Good to hear they are still keeping up a high quality. Well done 👏👏👏 2y
5feet.of.fury I love this one! I was reading it and went for a trail run and all I had in the back of my mind was the opening, I had to go back to the car 😂 I love the early ones but I truly think this series just got better and better. I can‘t wait til the next one. 2y
deeannloso @5feet.of.fury I totally agree! I can‘t wait until the next one either. 😊📚 2y

Investigating the killing of a prisoner during a riot inside a state penitentiary, GBI investigator Will Trent receives disturbing information. One of the inmates claims he‘s innocent of a brutal attack he was charged with. He insists he was framed by a corrupt law enforcement team led by Jeffrey Tolliver and that the real culprit is still out there: a serial killer who has systematically been preying on women across the state for years.

Picked up this chunky paperback while I was out grocery shopping, Karin Slaughter has become an automatic grab for me. I‘ve never read one of her Will Trent books (this is #10) hopefully that won‘t matter to much because I‘ve started this one already and I can‘t put it down lol

Book 10 in the Will Trent series might be my favorite. Slaughter delivered so many excellent twists, and even a few that I didn't expect.

I liked in this one that it connected back to a case from the Grant County past. When she brings the two series together I always seem to enjoy the book more.

TheSpineView Great job 3y
TheAromaofBooks I've seen so many good things about this series!! It's been on my list a long time. 3y

This book disappointed me until this quote at the end when my son pointed at me and laughed as he heard the narrator say it. I always wear brooches.
The story was hard to follow with the switching between the two time lines but that might have been more to do with the fact it was an audiobook than the writing.
Although at the end when the killer was revealed I was a bit lost and confused because I genuinely didn‘t remember that character at all.

CarolynM I don't think your brooch is ugly! Looks fun to me🙂 3y
Branwen OMG!!! WHERE DID YOU GET THAT BROOCH?! I NEED IT IN MY LIFE! 😍🐉💕 3y
Jhullie @Branwen it‘s from The Odd & The Sparkly Australia. They have a Facebook page which takes you to their shop. These little guys come out in different colours all the time. 3y

Another great installment (the 10th) of the Will Trent series by Karin Slaughter. And guys...this one is truly twisted. It is also a rare #crime #thriller series that continues to engage without being (too) predictable or formulaic. But the best part for me is the narrator. I won‘t read these physically because this narrator, Kathleen Early, is simply excellent. 3.5/5 ⭐️ #audiobook

Tamra It‘s so wonderful when you find that narrator. 4y

Even though these stories are always violent and gory I get such joy reading her thrillers, and I LOVE the Will Trent series. This one played with timelines in a way that was really interesting.

Ya'll this month has rough at work, so I apologize for not posting more, especially about #LittensDressedInBlood. I finally finished up July reads, so here's my first book of August that also definitely fits the challenge- Book 10 of the Will Trent series does not disappoint! It also makes me realize that I really need to go back and read the Grant County series since this book features flashbacks of Sarah's ex (and deceased) Jeffery Tolliver.

Will Trent series is entertainment of the most addictive kind. Will and Sara are characters I wish I could meet in real life. All the characters have faults which give the feel like you know them and you respond intensely to the story as it plays out. The complexity of the story kept me on my toes and eager to know what comes next. I very much appreciate the way Karin Slaughter is able to keep these characters and this series fresh and engaging.

TrishB Great review 👍🏻 love this series. 4y

I think this is the best one yet!
I love what Slaughter did with this book. Giving us both Jeffrey and Will, making them do what they do best (catching the bad guys)
I think the combination of our two heroes (from Grant County & Atlanta) gives this book the edge that none of the others had.

Slaughter is a brilliant writer and her police procedure is some of my favourite pieces of work

👇🏻 Cont 👇🏻

Enchanted_Bibliophile Her work captives you, takes you into the most gruesome scenarios and makes you enjoy the processes of finding justice the entire time.
Then she adds character relationships and conflicts and you fall into a love story you didn't even know you were reading.
I'm a sucker for this type of thing, especially if done an expertly as this.

Enchanted_Bibliophile I mean let's be honest (all time, read ever Slaughter book Fans) we've all been comparing the two men in Sara's life, looking at the good, the bad and the ugly. And this book just goes to show that we are allowed to love them both 4y
