pickA fun if not wholly originally fantasy in which everyone has a past, everyone has a secret, and everyone is willing to risk it all to get what they want. Six of Crows this isn‘t but there is some interesting worldbuilding, lots of adventure, and definitely more than one power hungry dude looking for even more power which makes for all sorts of trouble. A competent YA fantasy debut that leaves readers looking forward to more.
