A friend recommended this as a crazy read, so here I am! She had me at crazy. 😁 It‘s not crazy yet but I can feel it coming!

🎧 That ending was a slap in the face to readers everywhere. 😝
Is it an unreliable narrator? She‘s so over the top insane. A family of homicidal sociopaths.
Moments of dark humor. Some suspense. 1 of 4 siblings disappears on a cross country road trip with their mean grandfather in the 90‘s. Rich Grandpa dies & the will states they need to relive the trip to scatter his ashes.
Narrator was good. Library loan‘s the best I can suggest.
⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
I read this all in one day, but I didn‘t really love it, so here‘s a picture from the spontaneous lake trip we took yesterday instead. 😂
I am all in for an unlikeable character or two (even if it‘s the MC), but to be quite honest, I‘m not sure why I felt invested in reading this until the end. I guess it was more about wanting to know what happened (in the past) intellectually than truly caring about what happened to the characters. 🤷🏻♀️

I‘m back home and going back to #ReadingAsia2021. I want to read Treasures of the Thunder Dragon for Bhutan and My Year Abroad for China. In between a Samantha Downing. I loved My Lovely Wife and, as said before, I‘m in need for a good thriller!
WTF kind of ending was that? I don't know if I should be angry or impressed. 🤔
Let's just say this did not turn out at all like I thought it would. Despite the odd ending, it's definitely worth the read. I'm going with 4 stars.
