I enjoyed reading this book a lot. I loved the characters, the plot of the book, and the time period it was set in. I hope to see the characters again in the other books by this author. I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars.

I found this middling. I picked it up thinking that it had an arts focus, and that was wrong. The romantic pair seemed nice together and I especially loved the hero's parents, but the denouncement of the villains was mostly nonexistent and the heroine was thoughtless to her own safety well past the point of stupidity.

Read it if you like dogs

This was a Kindle deal I‘ve had sitting in my library for awhile that I decided to pick up on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! A good historical romance using the marriage of convenience trope that doesn‘t skimp on the development of the romance. While the romantic tension was well developed, be aware that there‘s no explicit sex scenes, though sex is more than alluded to, it‘s just not described in detail.
