I read this for the "spooky season" and quite enjoyed it! Definitely a retelling of Jekyll and Hyde and seemed quite gothic to me. The ensemble cast of narrators was great, it felt like one of those old timey radio dramas and was well done. Not a long read, but an entertaining one! Side note: does anyone else get peeved about how Goodreads does a page count on audiobooks? This one clocked in at 3 pages!?

This was a fun contemporary retelling of Jekyll & Hyde as a multi-narrator dramatic reading. It was great for an entertaining afternoon listen while I worked.

While I am always up for a modern retelling, I think that gives the opportunity for creative changes that allow the reader/listener to reflect on what has remained the same in society and what has changed. While this cast was great... it was a lot of ‘copy and paste‘ with the original dialogue and I wish there had been more changes than “she used a cell phone.” #spookyseason #audible
