⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A quirky, quick read about some random historical “firsts” you‘ve probably not considered questioning. First murder? First beer? Who really discovered fire? And so on. Very fun and enlightening. A great gift book!
If anyone needs proof that women basically invented everything, read this hilarious book.
Entertaining and informative book about ancient civilizations. The book wanders around a bit, but it's full of details about primitive societies that I found very interesting, especially the fact that many of the ancient inventors and discoverers went unheralded during their time, dying anonymous and forgotten. 4 ⏱⏱⏱⏱

In 1991, the victim in the world's most interesting murder case was found 10,500 feet above sea level in the Otztal Alps in northeastern Italy, 15 feet from the Austrian border.

The book was a great summary of some of the most significant innovations and milestones in our species‘s history. Incredibly well researched, the author not only offers some profound theories surrounding these achievements, he also personifies the imagined individuals responsible for them. I was a little let down that the book didn‘t conclude with an overarching message or moral, but the vignettes presented are still very compelling.
