A few good quotes, a couple things that made me think. A little dated, a little too meaningless business speak. But I did get a couple of gems that I will use in my new job role so that made it worth my while. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks

This lacked the depth I was looking for when building a tribe. It‘s a little dated, but I expected that. Even for the time it was written, I expected more.

Not my usual read, but inspiring nonetheless.

"Do you believe in what you do, every day? It turns out that belief happens to be a brilliant strategy.
Many people are starting to realize that they work A LOT. And that working on stuff they believe in, and making things happen is much more satisfying than just getting a pay check, and waiting to get fired, or die." - Seth Godin ??

In a battle between two ideas, the best one doesn't necessarily win. No, the idea that wins is the one with the most fearless heretic behind it.

Bailedbailed

I rarely bail but this was just too frustrating. It lacks structure and depth, comprising many short, surface-skimming pieces thrown together. I found it disorienting and exhausting to read. What the book does demonstrate, however, is that a message is only as good as the messenger's ability to communicate it: I didn't get much more than halfway through.

After several short sessions, this short book is done. A bit all over the place, and a bit dated, but still a few points that were good reminders about faith, courage, and marketing. Actually that sounds like a good book title, doesn't it??

A group needs only two things to be a tribe: a shared interest and a way to communicate.
