Enjoyable series

DI Nikki Galena is back in this suspenseful second book of the series. I am all over the place continuity wise because I am reading them totally out of order but it doesn‘t seem to be an issue. The stories are absorbing and the characters are absolutely believable. I still have a problem with the narrator and her appalling pronunciation but full credit to the book in that I keep listening, riveted to the story unfolding.
This is the second book I‘ve read in this series, and have to say I have enjoyed both of them a lot. Good characterisation, as well as a good duo investigating the crimes. Alongside this there have been good plots developed, along with good dialogue which always makes the difference in a good book. I will certainly be continuing the series and I recommend them to others who likes good detective book.
End of day 7 of the #EasterExtravaganza Readathon, and read 499 pages, finishing off 1 book.

Also titled Shadow over the Fens this is the second in the Nikki Galena police procedural mystery series set in the UK. Went from book 1 straight to book 2 on Hoopla and will go on to book 3 after a short break. I like these books- not as predictible as many and good characters. Recommend to those who like the british mystery/procedurals. @24in48 #24in48 book3 finished!
This was originally published as Shadowbreaker in 2011 it is number 2 in the DI Nikki Galena series. The first one Crime on the Fens also published as Mask Wars was excellent and good narration. The first 5 of these are currently available on my Hoopla and are quick 7 1/2 hour listens. I like the characters and the plot both! 👍👍👍
