As with many anthologies, this is a mixed bag. For me, sadly, it was more meh than yay. It‘s actually a relief to be done with it. 😭

Fantastic anthology; ties to Arthurian legend were tenuous in a few of the stories but it doesn't suffer from that. I did tend to favor the ones that offered a news lens through which to view these tales over the ones that merely referenced the characters or mythos but there wasn't a single story I didn't enjoy. Check out the epic list of contributors, you'll want to pick this one up.
Ordered books from my local indie for a friend, so of course I had to get something for myself!
2 new books in today! And I‘m super excited for both of them.

New books from my local indie! #bookhaul I‘m so excited for the tagged book because it has stories from two of my favorite authors: Ausma Zehanat Khan and Sarah MacLean. I‘m hoping Grady Hendrix‘s take on horror movie final girls is better than someone else‘s (ahem), and who can resist a Japanese mystery inspired by Agatha Christie‘s And Then There Were None? Not this girl, that‘s for sure. 😂
I want to read my new book, but I must adult and perform basic care tasks...
This one is a collection of Arthurian retellings with some amazing contributors - Alexander Chee! Roshani Chokshi! Ken Liu! Sarah Maclean! Silva Moreno-Garcia! Nisi Shawl! And more too, but those are the ones I'm most excited to get to!!!
