pickSuch a sweet book. The little doll family is happy until Marchpane, an obnoxious porcelain doll enters their midst. Wishing is the only way to communicate with their owners. It was fun and reminds me of Toy Story.

so-soI couldn‘t really get into this one until about halfway through, and most of the characters were pretty annoying. However, once the trouble started, it was a pretty good story and actually pretty intense for a story about dolls. I kinda wish I had a tiny little wooden doll, tho. 😁 #childrensclassicread2020
pickI read this when I was little and had always remembered vague parts of the story; it was so lovely to read it again with Bella. We loved gentle and wise Tottie, fragile Mr Plantagenet, whimsical Birdie, and also loved to hate Marchpane! We‘ve also enjoyed Miss Happiness and Miss Flower and Little Plum by the same author, and Bella then plays with her doll‘s house for days afterwards. Perfect for age 6+ #raisingreaders
