Still not even at the halfway mark! I really like this book just wish I wanted to read more than I do. Too much going on but I am determined to finish it by this weekend.

-Happy Friday, hope you all enjoy your weekend. ✨️
This was a fun #audiobook, but it is very much a #YA fantasy with romance including what I would consider an unnecessary love triangle. I was intrigued by the world the author created, but I wanted more details of the magic and less of the romantic angle. It‘s also the first book of a series so although the main storyline is resolved, there are plenty of questions for the next book. I enjoyed it but doubt I‘ll continue the series.

Started off pretty good but I never cared about any of the characters…did she live or die? I will never know….😏

😍 ok so this might be one of my favoritest opening lines ever 😍

I really like how unique this story was when being told. I loved the romance and how badass Zahru was. I really enjoyed learning about the kingdom. #bookstagram #bibliophile #bookreview #review #litsy #littens
A thrilling YA fantasy adventure. Three siblings are embarking on a trek across the desert to determine who will become ruler in place of their ailing father. Our main character, Zahru, is a stable girl with lower class magical powers who ends up far move involved in the crossing than she ever wanted to be. With a great cast of characters and a developing romance, The Kinder Poison kept my attention throughout the entire book.
Sigh. This had strong themes, super complex characters with dynamic relationships who wrestle deeply with power & morality, intriguing magical world & a dark political plot. That‘s basically describing my perfect book, except for one thing. Why, oh WHY must we ruin a perfectly amazing story with a damn love triangle?!?! Ugh I was so frustrated for like, half the book!! Overall this would have been a 4, maybe even 5 star book for me...if only. ★★★½

The last book I needed for my #ReadYourSign challenge released and arrived in the mail today 😊
This is my pick for Cancer's prompt 11; read a book from Taurus and Scorpio's lists, which for Scorpio I picked prompt 3, its Zodiac Symbol, the Scorpion.
This book has been on my preorder list for awhile so I'm excited to finally read it.
