I‘d read a bunch of great reviews on this one and had high expectations. I‘d say it ranked ‘MEH‘
The plot was underwhelming. It wasn‘t really what I was expecting, but it was okay.

Sisters Emily and Madison suffered a horrible tragedy when they were young. Their father was murdered, their mom committed suicide & their sister, disappeared. 20 years later, Emily goes to a friend's house and finds them murdered. I appreciated the way the author does not shy away from they way racism (both obvious and covert) can poison a small town, and how family secrets (no matter how well intentioned) will always cause problems. #Romantsy
I found this on Kindle Unlimited and really enjoyed it. Part family drama and part slow burn mystery.
This was an interesting story dealing with the heavy issue of racially motivated crime. The mystery is interesting and the killers identity was cleverly hidden. The plot is quite slow at times but builds to a dramatic climax. The ending itself was good and finished the story well. I found myself liking Zander a lot but Emily and her sisters just didn't quite win me over enough. A solid mystery. #Netgalley 3*
I loved the suspense that the book brought me. It‘s full of secrets, lies and suspense. And the thrill of wanting to know what happen is really there. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 the interactions between the main characters are very limited & I don‘t see why there‘s attraction between the two. Not to mention that some secondary character are appearing way too much. #romanticsuspense #kindleunlimited
