pickThis was a low pick for me- it was ok, glad I read it but I did not love it. This #lmpbc round has two stories where deadly woods were a main character- that was so crazy!
pickTook a break from the Christmas reads to pick up one of my #LMPBC books for the month. I actually ended up really enjoying this one, although who includes an 8-page glossary but no map?!?! Still, decent world-building and some interesting concepts - definitely seeing myself finishing this trilogy when the third book is released next summer. Great pick @Laughterhp !!

#BookReport - finished 3 books this week. Did not stick to what I was planning to read, but that‘s okay! All 3 books were good!
I‘m still reading Cold Days on audio. I started the Ebook of Ghost Bride and am about 70 pages into. I like it so far. I‘m only 4 chapters into the new TJ Klune but it‘s due back at the library Saturday!
I really need to start/finish Bright edge and Empire wild this month! But we will see! Especially with Thanksgiving
pickYes, I already have Christmas plants! This is a low pick for me. I liked the world building and the story, but I didn‘t really like the MC. I‘m not going to say too much since it‘s my #LmPBC pick.
This is the first in a set trilogy. It ends in a bit of a cliffhanger, but not one that I have to rush and pick up the next book. Honestly, I‘m not sure if I‘ll continue the series. Also, there is zero romance in this book, which I found fascinating.

I didn't love any of the characters, but they weren't unlikeable either. That might have contributed to why it took me so long to finish! Nonetheless, I will be continuing the series when the next book comes out - how could I not with the way that one ended??

Still moving things around in my library (the custom shelves are being built in the next couple of months), I added a betta fish tank into the room so now it‘s even more enjoyable to sit here and read 😅 Rn this book has my full attention, as literally the first 40 pages I was going “What the fuck?!”

I did not sleep last night seeing I stayed up reading the book and now I am going to probably fall asleep at work lol but the book was that good lol.
pickForest of Souls is action packed, has incredible world building, and unique and interesting characters.The pacing in this book was flawless, it was the perfect amount of action and exposition. The Dead Wood was such a unique and terrifying concept, I really enjoyed any scenes taking place there. I do wish there was a bit more time spent with the Spider King, but I am excited for where the next book goes and the new/old villain.
