It‘s ostensibly about a woman, Loretha Curry, who discovers that the best parts of life aren‘t behind her, after a tragedy occurs on her 68th birthday. In reality, it‘s a book filled with complaining, snark, lies, and misery. When all of the characters finally get their sh*t together, the book takes on an unbearable preachy tone, and ends with no real conclusion. It‘s like something I would have written in my college creative writing class.
