Lesanne @Reviewsbylola I picked The Beauty in Breaking, the memoir by the ER doctor. As a nurse I like well written medical memoirs (especially with crazy ER stories!) and I thought her perspective as a Black woman would make it especially powerful. Also one of my #LMPBC groups is going to read Mexican Gothic so that helped narrow it down. 4y

Reviewsbylola I think Beauty of Breaking will end up in my box. I‘m torn about Mexican Gothic. The fantasy element is scaring me away. @Lesanne 4y

ImperfectCJ We did one year with a program at a wildlife sanctuary in Massachusetts. It wasn't a good year, though, so not nearly enough to make syrup. 5y

ImperfectCJ @LibrarianRyan It was not nearly as exciting as we'd hoped it would be. I got the impression that sugaring can be a bit of a party, though (although not that interesting in itself). 5y
