This is a beautifully illustrated book, and I really enjoyed the way the story is written. It's crafted so that all 7 of the principles of Kwanzaa are reflected in it's themes. It was a fun read. #Kwanzaa #Holiday

cozypunk Those illustrations are breathtaking!! 4y
Kenyazero @dandy.punk They really are. They really made this a wonderful read! 4y

Using the Nguzo Saba, or "seven principles" of Kwanzaa, the author has created an unforgettable story that shows how family members can pull together, for their own good and the good of the entire community.

In addition to doing a lot of Christmas reading to my nieces over the past few days, they asked if we could expand to other holidays celebrated by their friends. This is the first selection of Kwanzaa books. The tagged book was a beautiful story. The principles behind the holiday are fascinating. #WinterGame #TheFilthyAnimals

Addison_Reads I read Seven Spools and really loved it. The illustrations were beautiful and I loved learning more about Kwanzaa. 5y
Come-read-with-me @Addison_Reads I didn‘t know that much about the holiday and, like you, loved learning about the holiday! 5y

Not what I was expecting but still a good story about working together toward a common goal.
