I‘ve been listening to these stories as I crochet and write Christmas cards. They run the gamut of lifting you up with Christmas spirit to enlightening you to the struggles of black families all year through. The biographical parts about the authors are really interesting. This book is truly a treasure. #WinterGames2020 #MerryReaders #CrushtheRush #FedtiveFlicks #Audioathon #ReadYourWay #BookSpinBingo #BookmasBingo

My first #festiveread for #wintergames! Even tho I didn‘t love every single story, I‘m very glad I read this collection for such a new perspective on both Christmas stories and African American writing. This had stories from the 1880s to well into the 20th century covering a lot of aspects of black lives in America that I don‘t see represented much, with so many perspectives on Christmas and the holidays.
