Perfect for fans of Sara Shepard's The Lying Game series, Kiersten White's Mind Games, a novel about two sisters trapped in a web of deceit, was called "lightning fast and fabulously fun" by bestselling author Laini Taylor.Fia and Annie are as close as two sisters can be. They look out for each other. Protect each other. And most importantly, they keep each other's secrets, even the most dangerous ones: Annie is blind, but can see visions of the future; Fia was born with flawless intuitionher first impulse is always exactly right. When the sisters are offered a place at an elite boarding school, Fia realizes that something is wrong . . . but she doesn't grasp just how wrong. The Keane Institute is no ordinary school, and Fia is soon used for everything from picking stocks to planting bombs. If she tries to refuse, they threaten her with Annie's life. Now Fia's falling in love with a boy who has dark secrets of his own. And with his help, she's ready to fight back. They stole her past. They control her present. This one has been on my TBR list for many years. It was okay and kept my attention just enough to finish it. Sometimes I felt like it was crazy and all over the place.

Pickpick

Kiersten White has a powerful voice which will take you on a roller coaster of emotions along with her tortured and three dimensional characters.
This book was a page-turner that I read in one day because I could not put it down, and I'll surely read the next book in this Duology.

The story is interesting enough, but the characters are a bit bland. Annie should have been very likable, but instead comes off as needy. Fia is the other side of the coin. She should be an amazing heroine, but instead she‘s always focused on James and how to build her relationship with him.

So, I wasn't really digging this book until James popped up more. I do like the Beautiful Boy with the Booze. He might not be all good, but give me a hot, rich, cocky guy with father issues and call me Rory Gilmore.
