A shorter book by DC but a very enjoyable one! You think it‘s finally over and then realize there‘s still 1/4 of the book left!😱

Marwick house never says occupied for long, but when it‘s new resident, Anna, moves in the haunting takes a turn.

This is just an okay book. It wasn‘t very long so it was tolerable. At least this haunted house was in a decent neighborhood 😂. The ghost in this story reeeeelly didn‘t like a particular gender 😱.

Josephine began to suspect something was wrong with the crumbling gothic monstrosity next door when its family fled in the middle of the night, the children screaming, the mother crying. They never came back. But now someone new has moved next door, and Marwick House is slowly waking up. Torn between staying away and warning the new tenant, Josephine only knows that if she isn't careful, she may be its next victim...

Overall a decent ghost story. Plenty of atmosphere and backstory for all the characters. Liked the setting and tension.

Feet up with a Book, Hot Tea, Rainy Coffee Shop Screensaver and Jazz Music Playing, it doesn't get any Cozier than this

I‘ve been wanting to read a Darcy Coates novel for a while. B&N had two on a buy one get one half off deal!

I love these fun ghost stories! Jo lives alone next door to a haunted house and when a new tenant arrives, Jo befriends Anna and gets caught up with the spirit of Marwick House. The writing is a bit convoluted as Coates mixes British & American terminology but it doesn't take away from the story. 👻 #quarantinereads
