This year you'll get what you deserve... A lavish party. An isolated mansion. Two hosts who will do anything to protect their secrets. When husband and wife Claudine and Henry organise their firms Christmas party in a remote mansion, they expect it to be a night to remember. But the festive mood quickly turns sour when a sinister gift is unwrapped in the Secret Santa gift exchange. As heavy snow traps the guests inside the mountainside lodge it quickly becomes clear that one of the party is out for revenge. Its no longer just about enduring the evening. Its about making sure you get out alive. A lavish locked-room mystery with a seasonal edge, THE SECRET SANTA is packed with twists that will keep you guessing until the final page.

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new. Don‘t judge me - I have a lot of books. Join the fun if you want.
This is day 56

A Christmas party gets out of control when one of the people there wants revenge. It was okay, but I thought the twist was obvious. I would try another book by the author. 3⭐️

My other Christmas package is courtesy of the #tmskellington Secret Santa swap - thank you @JenlovesJT47 for such a great gift! Between cozies, stationary, and candles, you nailed my tastes! There was a lot more candy, but I ate it before I managed to get a picture taken. :) @Crimson613

Didn't think it was particularly christmassy, but still enjoyed it. Despite the fact I'd figured it out before the end it was still enjoyable.

I love a good locked-room mystery, and this one with a Secret #Santa theme will be in my #WeeklyForecast for next week.

I liked the idea of a festive mystery book but sadly it was not overly exciting and I predicted the big twist way before the end, yet that said, there were still certain parts that were sharp and clever. The thing that kept me reading was the Zara chapters though; Her character had the most distinct voice and I liked how she wasn‘t a run of the mill character, she was original, and I think the author should be proud of herself for creating her.
