Utterly bonkers gothic historical mystery set in America during WWII. The plot is insane and romps along at a cracking pace. The heroine sees ghosts. It's all you can do as a reader to keep up! It's to the detriment of charactersation tho, and the romance in particular is not exactly dwelt on - they are in love on day two and you don't really get a sense of who Zeke is. Nevertheless, this is a fun read on unlimited.

A nice easy read, reminiscent of my perennial favourite author, Victoria Holt. I do love gothic mysteries and this one had chills in all the right places.

Look what arrived in my letterbox today! I have searched for this for the longest time and thanks to the wonderful author I have my very own autographed copy. I can't wait to get started. My phone will chase away all would-be interrupters.
