⭐⭐⭐/5.
Alternates between being pretty boring and walking thoughtlessly, face first, into a fence post. The story feels naive for a book so recent, and so many of the descriptors just indulge in racist, ableist, and fatphobic analogy without hesitation or, seemingly, consideration. The new low point in my horror book club.
I haven't posted much about this book because it has been a slog and a half, but I'm in the last 30 pages and one of the leads is shocked by a grow op??? After meeting a supernatural terror fucking WEED being GROWN is shocking?!?!? This blows.
Thank you so much for a wonderful #Jolabokaflod Sara!! 😀 I still don‘t know your Litsy handle so please speak up 🙃 can‘t wait to read the book and the. Hi plate will be probably gone between today and tomorrow 😆 Have a wonderful Christmas 🎄 and a happy New Year 🎊 ☺️
Some sexy #bookmail by one of my favorite authors. This came out on Halloween and isn't in the database yet.
