Lots of fun YA series, with a well drawn world, and characters you care about. And, bonus, not a lot of romance.

As one of the characters astutely observes, "tacos are freaking delicious," and so is this yummy page-turner! It's everything I love about Heartstrikers #1, super-sized. Beloved characters both familiar and new, fun plot twists, really cool magic stuff (don't want to give away more than that), Epic Family Drama: Dragon Edition, and dialogue that's hilarious and tantalizing by turns. I ate it all up like candy. Nom nom nom! ?

This book was fantastic, way better than the first one and a wonderful surprise. 5/5 stars. Dragons are invaders from a different plane and now that magic has returned, they are contending with magic using humans and spirits, some of whom want the dragons dead. It's a great read and a lot of fun.

ReadingOver50 YA or adult? 9y
iread2much @ReadingOver50 it's an adult book and it's free on the kindle unlimited subscription. I read the first one and it was ok, but the second one blew my expectations out of the water 9y

The world building in this novel is excellent! This is not your typical urban fantasy
